1. Getting Started
The Fuji Guide is a website providing all kinds of additional information about the Fujisan World Heritage Center's exhibits as well as AR content that can be viewed using your smartphone's camera. The site also offers 360° image and video content that will make you feel like you are looking at the actual Mt. Fuji's scenery.
Notes
- Follow staff member's instructions, and take care not to disturb other visitors, such as adjusting the volume.
- Depending on your device's specifications, the Guide's functionality may be limited.
2. About the Exhibition Guide
This function introduces each exhibit in the Fujisan World Heritage Center. Tap Exhibition Guide on the main menu screen to use it. In addition to viewing additional exhibit information, you can check each exhibit's location on the map and refer to recommended routes for viewing the exhibits.
You can also access each exhibit's page by holding your smartphone over the NFC tags(the Fuji Guide Tag) to read them. (For details, please refer to '5. 3. About Floor Navigation and Sengen-jinja Shrines Tour
This function provides explanations of Mt. Fuji's World Heritage Properties using the Floor Map on the first floor of the Fujisan World Heritage Center. To use this function, tap Floor Map Navigation or the Sengen-jinja Shrines Tour on the main menu. Tap the name of a World Heritage Property to view its explanation and a 360° image. You can also check each property's location on the map.
4. About Meet the People associated with Mt. Fuji
This function allows you to enjoy augmented reality (AR) content linked to the exhibits in the Fujisan World Heritage Center. Tap Meet the People Associated with Mt. Fuji on the main menu to use it. AR will be activated by scanning the markers on the Meet the People Associated with Mt. Fuji dolls.
Notes
- Depending on your device's specifications, the marker may not be properly recognized. To scan it, move close enough for the entire marker to be clearly displayed on your phone screen.

5. About NFC Functionality(the Fuji Guide Tag)
You can also access each exhibit's page by holding your smartphone over the NFC tags(the Fuji Guide Tag) to read them. NFC tags(the Fuji Guide Tags) are attached to various exhibits in the Fujisan World Heritage Center, so try holding your smartphone over the tags.
Notes
- The appropriate position for reading NFC tags(the Fuji Guide Tags) depends on the device. If there is no response, try holding your smartphone in a different position.
- Depending on your device, you may need to enable NFC functionality in your device's settings.
- Some devices may be incompatible with this feature.
How to Use the Tags
- By holding your smartphone over the NFC tags (the Fuji Guide Tags), you can access the description page of each exhibit.
- Tap the URL of the webpage that appears on the screen, if applicable. Depending on your device, the page may open automatically.
- The page opens.
Process for Enabling NFC Functionality on Various Smartphones
Xperia
- Home Screen > Settings > Connected Devices > NFC > Turn on
Galaxy
- App List > Settings > Connections > NFC/Osaifu-Keitai Settings > Turn on
iPhone(7~X)
- Control Center > Open NFC Tag Reader > Hold phone over the NFC tag
