6.Mt. Fuji and Its World

Mt. Fuji has been familiar with many people from long ago. There are: the starting points of journey of “tohai” (ascending to worship Fujisan); the sacred places of “junpai” (circuit pilgrimage) for traveling through points of places related to the beliefs about Fujisan; the places of “yohai” for worshipping Fujisan from a distance; and the places became a background for works of art.
